My Opinion on Debunking Crystals Article

I have just read an article by Jeffry Shallit on Debunking Crystals in particular he uses Melody's Love is in the Earth" for this. And I have no problem with that. As you will see there are areas on which I agree with him. I have always been a believer that all sides of anything should be explored and discussed. I do not believe that I am infallable or that anyone else is. Sometimes when we make statements there are things that we do not know yet also things that have not become know as well, and this can cause us to change our opinions later down the track.

I also believe that if possible you should answer opposition statements where you can. This does not mean attacking the person who made the statements. After all everyone is entitled to their view of things, but I do believe that both sides should be presented.

First let me tell you that I am a Crystal Healer and Reiki Healer. I have no problem with you point of view, I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion. And I do not disagree with you completely. There are some things that need to be cleaned up in the crystal healing area. I never recommend that an elixir should be made by placing a crystal directly into the water(don't recommend alcohol). And I always caution people to check out the toxicity of a crystal before they use it. If I have the information I include it when telling people about a particualar crystal and I try every avenue that I can to find out if there is a potential problem with a crystal. I also always recommend that Crystal and Reiki healing be used in conjuction with Mainstream Medical treatment. All things should be used in a complimentary way. There are things in Melody's book that greatly concern me as well, things like say that people could forgo dialysis treatments completely My blood turned cold when I read this statement. Some people who are desperate to be healed could be harmed by some statements. I would like you to know that there are a lot of responsible healers in the world, we only seem to hear about the dangerous ones or the ones that cause a sensation. I would like to thank you for your information on the studies that were done, it was very interesting. You may wonder how I can comment on this matter as I said at the outset I am a healer, I am also 56 years of age and have been using crystals since I was a child. I was drawn to them long before I heard about crystal healing or read a book about their healing properties. So for me I believe in their abilities. I do not ask that you believe what I am saying, I just wanted to give my side of the story. I would ask that you keep writing about this subject bringing up what you feel is relevent and dangerous. We cannot have to much information or opinions on anything as far as I am concerned. I have just found your blog and will becomming back on a regular basis, not only to comment but also to learn. I look forward to your next post.
